HSL’s staff member Paul put together a new exhibit of Medical Photography on the second floor near the elevators.
From the advent of photography, photographic images have been used to teach. Medical students are able to see conditions that they might not to be able to experience in person. The professor can explain symptoms and procedures, while punctuating a lecture with images.
Visit the second floor alcove to explore some of the Health Science Library’s collection of medical photography and historic viewers. The library has an extensive collection of Stereoscope cards, Pixie Viewer pictures, and slides.
