This World Aids Day, contribute to the fight against AIDS by buying art.
The Zimbabwean Aids Treatment Assistance (ZATA) program, founded in part by AIDS researchers from CU Anschutz, is selling original art by Zimbabwean artists at the Health Sciences Library from November 28th to December 9th.
The pieces are matted and ready to be framed. Most pieces are between $25 and $75, at deep discounts from their original prices. Absolutely all of the proceeds go to ZATA to help AIDS patients in Zimbabwe who have participated in clinical trials continue to receive the treatment and antiretroviral drugs that they need.
There are only 40 paintings available and a few sets of notecard reproductions- any of them would make fantastic holiday gifts! For more information about ZATA, visit their site here. Cash or credit card will be accepted at the library’s front desk. Tax receipts are available as ZATA is a 501c3.
