Downloading E-books in ClinicalKey

Clinical Key register

Have you encountered this message in ClinicalKey when trying to download an e-book?

Users need to register for a free personal account https://www.clinicalkey.com/#!/registration in order to download the PDF version. You can also get to the registration screen by clicking on “Register” in the upper right corner. You do not have to register in order to view the e-books in HTML.

  1. There is a message from my library stating we have to register to download E-books, but they are always viewable as HTML. This doesn’t work. I have registered under personal email and campus email. I still get the message that my institution doesn’t allow. I can’t even view the chapters online. There are no books to browse, but two “featured books” listed. I am not sure what this is referring to.

    • Hello: I’m sorry you are having trouble accessing e-books in ClinicalKey. I will contact you via email to troubleshoot in detail. My basic suggestion is to make sure you are accessing ClinicalKey from the library’s website if you are off campus. If you don’t use the library’s link, then you won’t be logged in to access the full-text. This is the link the library uses: http://hsl-ezproxy.ucdenver.edu/login?url=http://www.clinicalkey.com/
