FYI: R Statistical Software at the Health Sciences Library (with EpiTools package)

At the suggestion of a student, the Health Sciences Library has installed the R statistical software with EPITools in the Computer Commons on the Library’s first floor.  The Library had previously only had SPSS available for data analysis.  This is a great way to try out and explore R before taking the step of installing it on your own computer.

To access this software, sit at any computer in the Commons area,

  • log in with your student, staff, or faculty login,
  • select  the SPSS desktop option, and
  • then the SPSS or R application shortcut on the desktop.

Need training materials to learn to use R?  YouTube offers a selection of training videos you may find useful.
