FYI: September is Disaster Preparedness Month

You don’t have to live where there are earthquakes, floods or fires to be prepared!

Visit Ready.gov to learn more about the FEMA public service campaign to inform and prepare Americans to respond to natural and man-made disasters.

To participate, follow these steps from the CDC.

• Get a Kit.
• Make a Plan.
• Be Informed.
• Get Involved.

Last year the CDC took advantage of their prominence in the AMC series Walking Dead by unveiling their Preparedness 101: Zombie Apocalypse social media campaign. The attention grabbing campaign promoted preparedness through a graphic novel, blog, Facebook and Twitter.
