Creative Arts Therapy as Catalyst for Healing

Katherine Reed, ATR, LPC
Katherine Reed, manager of the TCH Ponzio Creative Arts Therapy Program, is also an art therapist and licensed professional counselor. Katherine began her work in art therapy after 2 years as a Peace Corps health education volunteer in Burkina Faso, West Africa, and 9 years of teaching art in Colorado public schools. Her current role has allowed Katherine to pull together her passions here at TCH: building healing communities using the arts as vehicles for expression and communication.
Tony Edelblute, LPC, MT-BC
Tony Edelblute has worked as a Music Therapist at The Children’s Hospital since 2003, and worked previously for HospiceCare of Boulder & Broomfield Counties. Before becoming a music therapist he was a professional saxophonist, touring Europe and the Americas with rock, blues and jazz bands.

Free Trial of Springer Protocols
The Health Sciences Library is offering a free trial of Springer Protocols on the library’s website (hslibrary.ucdenver.edu) through October 31, 2010. Springer Protocols has the largest number of online protocols – 18,000 with 2,000 added annually – including contemporary and alternative versions. Researchers can find the right protocol for their lab set-up including step-by-step laboratory instructions, lists of the necessary equipment and ingredients, and notes on troubleshooting and safety precautions. Springer Protocols features content from several print series including Methods in Molecular Biology, Methods in Molecular Medicine, Methods in Biotechnology, Methods in Pharmacology and Toxicology, and Neuromethods.

Drive up and drop off BOOKDROP!
There is an outside book return bin at our PASCAL facility on campus which allows for a drive up and return option. That book return bin is checked daily with materials sent back over to the main library 5 days per week during normal business hours. See Map
