Winners Announced – AspiringDocs.org Video Contest

The AAMC on Monday announced the 10 winners of the second AspiringDocs.org Video Contest. As part of the AAMC’s AspiringDocs.org campaign – a Web site and outreach effort to encourage diversity in the medical field- college students from across the country were asked to submit a two-minute video explaining what motivated them to increase diversity in medicine. Each winner will be awarded $500 toward the cost of applying to medical school and a suite of AAMC publications (a $100 value), including The Official Guide to the MCAT. The winning videos can be viewed on AAMC’s YouTube site and each winner is profiled on AspiringDocs.org.

APA Citation and Documentation Workshop

The University of Colorado Denver Writing Center continues it presence on the AMC offering regular office hours every Tuesday and Friday from 10am-6pm in the Library’s Information Commons, room 1204.

On Wed March 3, the Center offers a workshop on APA citation. This workshop will cover the basics of citation in APA style. The workshop is designed for students from all majors who would like to have a better understanding of how to cite in APA. Page format, in-text citations, and bibliographies will be covered.
