Trial – ebooks for the Health Sciences
The Health Sciences Library will be holding a trial of the R2 Library from Rittenhouse publishing. The trial will run from October 1 – November 30, 2009. The R2 Library is an aggregation of over 1200 e-books from 37 publishers in the health science, science and technical fields. During the trial UC Denver Anschutz Medical Campus users will have access to all 1200 titles. Users can search across all the e-books or just one. Images, charts and graphs can be extracted and used for educational purposes. It is very easy to print or save sections of the e-books. To access the e-books in this trial, please visit the library’s homepage and look for R2 Library in the Databases list.
The Health Sciences Library is very interested in feedback from faculty, students and staff about e-books. E-books can provide many benefits including increased accessibility and ease of searching. As the library investigates e-books in the health sciences we’d like to know what our users think of this format.
